Some nights you’re really craving dessert. Some of these nights you really want something you can eat with your hands. That was the impetus for the creation of these tasty bites. The sun was setting and we had a hankering for something crunchy and peanut buttery. “Why not add in some coco powder?”, we thought. “After all, can you really ever have enough chocolate?” A few minutes later we were up and ready for action, a mixing spoon in one hand and an open jar of JIF in the other!

These Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites will do their part to satisfy even the pickiest sweet tooth! They are just the right size to make a great snack for movie watching, relaxing with a book, or even watching the big game with friends. If you bring them to a get-together, the plate will be empty in no time!

We used Glutino gluten-free pretzel twists, which we’ve seen in most grocery stores. Gluten eaters tend to scarf those up as quickly as normal pretzels, so we love having them around as an easy snack. But any gluten-free pretzel will work!

Pro Tip

Change up the ingredients a bit for some variation! We rolled them in powdered sugar for that extra kick of sweetness. If you like to walk on the wild side (or the tropical side), add some shaved coconut into the mix. The sweet flakes will complement the crunch of the pretzel and sweeten the bites up a bit. And if you want to pack more energy-filled protein into these bites, mix in a couple tablespoons of flax seed meal.
